We recognise that the cancellation of examinations and assessments is having a significant impact on many of our applicants. As you are aware, where possible your school or college will still award you grades, in keeping with the guidance that has been issued by Ofqual and examination boards.
You can find a wealth of information available on the UCAS website about the impact of the cancellation of exams and assessments, and if you have any further questions, please get in touch.
We are not going to change your offer. We will continue to make conditional offers as normal, and we’ll be confirming places based on the official calculated grades to be released by the relevant exam boards.
Is there any flexibility around entry requirements this year, given the current circumstances?
As is the case every year, we consider your application as a whole, including your personal statement and references as well as your academic qualifications and work experience. You may be invited for an interview with a course tutor to discuss your application and your current circumstances.
We will do our best to consider the impact of the circumstances this year, whilst also ensuring that we maintain the academic entry standards of individual courses.
We intend to start the academic year at the usual time, with our Welcome Week taking place from the 14th September and teaching commencing from 21st September.
Along with our colleagues in all other higher education providers, we are keeping a very close eye on government and Public Health England advice and guidance with regard to coronavirus and social distancing. If any changes or adaptations are necessary, we will update you.
