​Early Years lecturer with pastoral responsibility for Year 1 students and transitions. Also part of the UCO Student Engagement group and Teaching, Learning & Assessment Working Group.

​BA(Hons) in Early Years and FdA in Children & Young People

​Charlotte has worked with other teams within the University of Huddersfield consortium, moderating work and collaborating on University projects.
She has been involved in the approval process for Access to HE modules at Certa and acted as an Early Years Consultant, writing the 2014 Early Years and Education modules. As part of the North West Quality Network, Charlotte worked with colleagues from two other colleges to provide online resources to be used with HE students via the VLE. 

​As part of her Masters level studies, Charlotte took part in research to investigate parent partnerships in Early Years settings, young children’s peer relationships/support strategies and Early Years assessment methods.

​Charlotte has 10 years’ experience of working in primary and nursery schools including a Beacon nursery, an Early Excellence Centre and a Children’s Centre. She worked as a primary teacher, a nursery teacher and an education co-ordinator including development of early years extended services.
Charlotte has also worked 11 years in Further Education College and in higher education. 
She had been a Lecturer, Curriculum Leader and Centre Manager for University of Huddersfield provision.  During her time in further and higher education Charlotte has been a lecturer on the following courses: FdA in Learning Support, PGCE/Cert Ed in Lifelong Learning, PTLLS Level 4, Education & Training Level 3, Childcare Level 2 & 3, Teaching Assistant/STL Level 2 & 3.
