Caroline has many years occupational experience including working across local authorities and children’s services, human resources and leadership and management roles. She has been teaching in the sector for over 11 years.​
Caroline is the unit leader for the Evidence Based Practice, Placement Practice, Social Policy and Multi-Disciplinary Teams modules on the Foundation Degree Health and Social Care programme supporting the Programme Leader Gill Mills.​
Caroline has experience and expertise in the design, delivery and development of leadership and management units across a range of programmes including:
  • Foundation Degree Working with Children and Young People
  • Foundation Degree in Early Year’s Practice
  • BA (Hons) Childhood Studies
  • BA (Hons) Health and Social Care.
She also has experience of teaching a wide range of other units such as; Holistic Child, Learning and Development, Health and Emotional Wellbeing, Research, Safeguarding, Different Childhoods, Dissertation Support, Placement and Assignment Support and Tutorial/Pastoral Support.​
Caroline is currently undertaking a Masters in Higher Education at Manchester Metropolitan University with a keen interest in researching student engagement and student enrichment in relation to non-traditional vocational higher education students.Her further research interests include theories of student alienation, barriers to student engagement and HE staff wellbeing.

She is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).​
