Anne started her career as a Fine Art Lecturer and worked as a Site Manager at a Primary School and Warrington New Town Development Corporation Community Ranger. She soon progressed to become a Programme Leader for Adult Foundation degree in Art and Design. She has been working at University Campus Oldham since 2005 as Course Leader and Senior Lecturer, BA (Hons) Digital Art.
Anne’s teaching strategy is to deliver a high level of informative and creative input alongside a high level of availability and flexibility for students to speak with her one to one or in small groups about their plans, proposals, and problems. She delivers content through a variety of methods, including lecture, seminar, tutorial, studio, workshop, demonstration and individual one to one teaching. In addition, she uses Virtual Learning arenas, such as the University Virtual Learning Environment, closed Facebook Groups, Blogs, social bookmarking sites, and personal portfolio websites
Anne constantly involves students in new projects. One of the examples is a project with the Royal Northern college of Music in Manchester involving visual and sound activities.
