Katherine Smith, 21, moved to Manchester with the hopes of studying a foundation course. UCO’s Fda Performance course caught her attention as it offers an aspect of martial arts, something that she has a keen interest in.
“My course was a lot of fun and the physical theatre we got to use was fantastic. During the course I had the opportunity to explore a lot of different areas and develop my knowledge on performance and the industry.
My most memorable experience while studying at UCO has to be taking part in a flash mob on campus, in the library and café. This consisted of acting in slow motion, it was great fun!”
Katherine found it helpful that the course class sizes were small, which made it easier to become close friends with fellow students and work together on various projects.
Now that Katherine has completed and passed her course, she is planning on continuing her studies in performance, on a top up degree, at University of Huddersfield.
Katherine describes her experience at UCO as fun and challenging.
